    1.3 Placing Placing of the SCANTOOL TSM 650 must take place on a firm and level surface such as a work table or the concrete. The shears must be secured to the floor by using the four fittings which were also used for tightening the shears to the pallet.

    2. Operating 2.1 Operating The back stop (E) (see fig. 2.1) is adjusted on the back of the shears by loosening the handles (F) so that the back stop (E) can be moved to the desired cutting length. Now the plate to be processed (G) must be fitted against the angle hold (H) which can be adjusted to the desired cutting angle.

    2.3 Maintenance After a period of use it may be necessary Lubricate handle bar with acid-free oil and adjust the upper knife. The length of this period depends on how many cutting operations the shears have performed and also the thickness of the plate. It is also necessary to grease the 2 grease nipples.
