Connecting an External Display

You can connect an external display to your notebook computer. For
example, you can use the computer with a:
Computer display (monitor) (page 52)
Multimedia computer display (page 52)
Projector (page 53)
TV (page 54)
To connect a computer display
The
symbol on the back of the computer shows the location of the
Monitor connector. Plug the display cable into this connector on the
back of the computer.
If necessary, plug one end of the display power cord into the display,
and the other end into an AC outlet.
See the manual that came with your computer display for more information on installation
and use.
You may not be able to display images on the connected TV or the screen image may flicker
when the resolution is 1024x768 pixels. If it happens, lower the resolution.
To connect a multimedia computer display
You can connect the notebook computer to a multimedia computer
display that includes built-in speakers and a microphone.

Use the
symbol to locate the Monitor connector. Plug the display
cable into this connector.

symbol to locate the Earphone connector. Plug the speaker
cable into this connector.
