5. Install the battery onto the battery box.
6. Connect the positive lead (red) to the positive (+)

battery terminal, then the negative lead (black) to
the negative (–) battery terminal.

9 Clamp the red wire to the positive (+) terminal
first, then the black wire to the negative (–) termi-
nal of the battery. Do not reverse these positions.

9 For EF3000iSEB, tighten the two positive battery
leads (one from the starter relay and one from the
DC-DC converter) to the same positive terminal
and the two negative battery leads (one from the
engine and one from the DC-DC converter) to the
same negative terminal.
7. Secure the battery with the battery band.
8. Install the battery box and tighten the bolts.
