    Recessed Channel Installation Guide Product Overview The Node Recessed Channel consists of two continuous side skirts, held together by a continuous Node face plate to support the lighting and other Node devices, and intermittent supporting bridge plates. The recessed assembly is designed to be installed in ceilings with recessed voids between ceiling panels or plasterboard.

    Recessed Channel Installation Guide Node Recessed Channel Installation Sequence The Node Recessed Channel ships fully assembled (skirts, mounting bracket, bridge plates and Node face plate). Note: All mounting hardware and sub structure is to be supplied and installed alongside the Node Recessed Channel. Lighting and other services must be installed by qualified personnel.

    Recessed Channel Installation Guide Connecting Node Channels Roll pins are supplied which must first be knocked into place, then pressing together two sections of channel. Figure 4 Node Recessed Channels can be connected together by way of key stock splicing the connection joint and fastening into place.

    Recessed Channel Installation Guide Node Integrated Sight Block The sight block is included in any location where the Node Plenum is not installed. The sight block comes pre-installed in the trough. The sight block can be trimmed on site to allow the passage of airflow below the plenum. The sight block can be cut before or after the channel is installed in the ceiling, but should only be done once the plenum positioning is known.

If the channel must be cut to length, the end cap should be removed, the length shall be cut and the end cap shall be re-attached.

    Recessed Channel Installation Guide Node Device Installation Node devices can be integrated into the system at design stage and can be purchased separately from the Node Recessed Channel. Outer Node housings will be factory installed in the required locations. The Node devices are installed in the housing by aligning the snap tabs and pushing the device casing directly into the housing.

    Recessed Channel Installation Guide Node Device Removal To remove the Node device, insert the Node removal tool into the shadow gap between the outer housing and device. Persuasively slide the Node tool anti-clockwise until the Node device is released.
