8. 1
Introduction
This chapter describes how to:
•
install the Plena Weekly Timer Configuration
software (version: 1.0012).
•
connect a PC to the Timer.
•
program events, using the PC.
•
upload schedules from the PC to the Timer.
•
download schedules from the Timer to the PC.
8.2
System requirements
The configuration software can be installed on any PC
running Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft
Windows XP operating systems. Before installing the
software make sure:
•
the PC is working correctly, and is free of viruses.
•
all other programs have been closed.
8.3
Installing the software
Proceed as follows:
1 Put the Plena CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive of the
PC. The CD-ROM starts automatically and a
window similar to the one in figure 8.1 will appear. If
the CD-ROM does not start automatically:
•
Go to Start > Run.
•
Enter X:\index.html. (Replace X with the charac-
ter of the CD-ROM drive).

2 Follow the instructions on the window, and then
click [Next]. A window similar to the one in figure
8.2 will appear.

3 Choose the Destination Location Folder, and then
click [Next]. A window similar to the one in figure
8.3 will appear.
