You cannot change the audio type in the following cases.
≥When a DVD-R disc is in the disc tray while DVD drive is selected.
≥When the recording mode is XP and "Audio for XP Recording" is set to "LPCM" (➡ page 40).
≥When "DVD-R High-Speed Recording" is set to "On" (➡ page 40).

Using headphones

Reduce the volume and connect the
headphones (not included).

≥Audio is automatically switched to stereo (2-channel).

2 Press [2, 1] to select "Erase" and press [ENTER].
≥A title cannot be restored once it is erased. Make certain before proceeding.
≥You cannot erase while recording or transferring (dubbing).
