2. Connect CMA arm to the ESM handle.
a) Connect the network cable to the ESM.
b) To connect the arm to the enclosure, press down on the thumb release and push arm clip onto the ESM
handle.

c) On the CMA arm clip, slide the tab on the connector towards from the ESM handle.
8.4 Installing the Chassis
Required Tools
• None
To install the Chassis, do the following:
1. Install the chassis into the rack.
a) Line up the chassis with the rack mount rails still fully extended, and slide the chassis until the rail locks
engage.
b) From the full extended position, locate the blue tabs located on each of the inner rails.
c) Slide the blue tabs towards the front of the chassis and push on the chassis.
d) Verify that the chassis can be fully seated into the rack.
2. Seat and secure the enclosure into the rack.
Warnings
Disconnect all power sources
before servicing.
Attention
The chassis weighs more than 57.6
lbs. and must be team lifted.
CAUTION
Electrostatic discharge can
harm delicate components inside HGST products.
