Maintenance
To charge a battery, perform the following:
1.
Plug the charger into a 110 VAC outlet.
2.
Ensure that the battery is turned off at the dashboard.
3.
Remove the cable connector wrap covering the charging plug.
4.
Remove the dust cap from the charging plug.
5.
Carefully align pins in connector ends and connect the charger to the charging plug.
6.
Turn the locking collar on the charging plug clockwise until locked.
7.
Verify that at least one state-of-charge LED for the battery is flashing slowly on the
dashboard.
NOTE: Battery charging time is three to six hours.
NOTE: The charger will remain in Compensating Charge mode indefinitely after
full charge is attained.
8.
When a Compensating Charge mode is indicated on the charger (Steady Green) the
battery is considered fully charged.
9.
Turn the locking collar on the charging plug counterclockwise until unlocked.
CAUTION:
DISCONNECT
THE
CONNECTORS BY PULLING THE CONNECTORS APART, NOT BY PULLING ON THE
WIRES.
10.
Without twisting the connectors or pulling on wires, disconnect the
the charging plug.
11.
Install the dust cap to the charging plug.
12.
Install the cable connector wrap to cover the charging plug.
13.
Turn on battery at the dashboard and verify all five state-of-charge LEDs are lit
steady (indicating full charge).
