To record with the Sony MDS-S41:

1. Insert a commercially available blank disc.
2. Set the initial adjustment value (C31).
3. Record IOP (laser power) information.
4. Perform temperature compensation offset adjustment.
5. Adjust laser power.
6. Adjust traverse.
7. Adjust focus bias.
8. Turn the knob to display “CREC MODE”.
9. Press the [YES] button to proceed to “CREC MID”.
10. “CREC (0300)” will display and recording will start.
11. Complete recording within 5 minutes.
12. Press [MENU/NO] to stop recording.
13. Press the [EJECT] button to remove the disc.

Note: Avoid vibration during recording.
