Connection and operation

1. Connect up to 8 sources such as Blu-Ray Players, games consoles, Cable or Satellite Receivers, PVRs etc. to the
HDMI inputs on the unit. Do not hotplug! Connect and disconnect cables carefully with the power switch off.
Connecting and disconnecting while the unit is powered can result in damage to circuitry.
2. Connect the output HDBT ports, starting with output 1, to the HDBT receivers located near each display (using
well terminated or pre-terminated Cat5e/6/7 cables no longer than 70m/230 ft)
3. Connect the output HDMI ports of the HDBT receivers to HD displays such as HDTVs or HD projectors that use
HDMI inputs. Use high speed HDMI cables of the required length for each connection.
4. To make additional HDMI connections to more local displays connect output HDMI ports, starting with output 1,
to displays that use HDMI inputs. Use high speed HDMI cables of the required length for each connection.
5. Plug in IR transmitters to the back of the Matrix Selector Switcher unit (IR TX), the transmitters are labeled IR
TX, place in front of the IR receiver of the source, ensure that each emitter is placed in front of the IR receiver
sensor. Double-sided adhesive tape is provided to hold the sensor in place.
6. Plug the IR receivers into the IR IN port of the HDBT Receivers, the IR receivers are labeled IR RX, use the
double-sided adhesive tape supplied to stick the receiver sensors in a position close to each display so that
they will receive the remote control signal.
7. For power connections, plug in the source devices first, followed by the Matrix unit (using the AC power cord
supplied), followed by the display receivers, followed by each display.
8. Power on each device in the same sequence.
