    If a source EDID is set to 4K output any non 4K (e.g. 1080p format) displays selected for output from this source will show a blank screen. To view output on these screens you can use a Labgear HD2-CVHD1 down converter.

    Back Panel 1. GND: Is used to Earth the housing. 2. IR Matrix, IR EXT: if IR sensor on the front panel is obstructed or the unit is installed in an enclosed area out of infrared line of sight, one of the IR RX receivers supplied can be connected to the IR EXT socket on the back panel to extend the IR sensor range and enable local control of the matrix.

    IR Control system (IR Back channel to Matrix and Source Devices) As well as HD distribution you can also control the matrix and source devices from display locations using the IR back channel function. As the IR channels are two-way the displays can also be controlled from the matrix location.

    Connection and operation 1. Connect up to 4 sources such as Blu-Ray Players, games consoles, Cable or Satellite Receivers, PVRs etc. to the HDMI inputs on the unit. Do not hotplug! Connect and disconnect cables carefully with the power switch off. Connecting and disconnecting while the unit is powered can result in damage to circuitry.

    Bidirectional RS232 control function The matrix system provides 4 channels with RS232 pass through functions, which can be used to control attached equipment. In example 1 below, the PCs or control system connected to the matrix unit send RS-232 signals to control the projector via the HDBT receiver unit.
