Hardwired for 120 V AC, this model features a non-replaceable, sealed-in battery backup. It also contains
an LED Strobe, a voice message system and Hush® Control to temporarily silence nuisance alarms.
nOTE: Battery backup supplies power to the smoke alarm portion only. Strobe will not work without AC power.
Teach children how to respond to the alarm and that they should never play with the unit. Your Kidde Smoke
Alarm was designed for use in a residential environment. It is not designed for use in a recreational vehicle
(RV) or boat.
