Turning off:
6. When you reach the end of the groove, turn the unit out into the idle position with the main switch still
pressed (5).
7. Release the main switch (5). Attention: The cutter blade will continue running for a brief period.
8. Do not lift the unit off the floor until the blade has stopped rotating. Do not reach into the cutting area of the
unit.
After completing the work:
Clean the GROOVER 500-LP and accessories thoroughly.
ATTENTION
Even though the unit has an integrated vacuum device, you still need to clean the groove in between
performing the grooving and
welding operations. Do not allow dust to build up in the work area.
7.4 Dust bag
Empty the dust bag (3) regularly. To do this, remove the dust bag (3) plus dust bag holder (24) from the
ejector tube (7). Hold the dust bag (3) over the disposal container and open the zipper. Gently shake the dust
bag (3) to empty it.

7.5 Parallel stop

The parallel stop (14) is located at a distance of 5.9 in. from the center of the cutter blade. Use the parallel stop
to cut grooves along existing and/or other fixed edges.
