1. Loosen the 4 screws and remove the air filter cover.
2. Make sure that the spark plug cap and ignition cable
are not damaged.
WARNING:
cap and ignition cable can cause
electrical shock.
3. Clean the spark plug if it is dirty.
4. Make sure that the electrode gap is 0.5 mm.
5. If it is necessary, replace the spark plug.

A damaged spark plug
To do a general inspection
Make sure that all nuts and screws on the product
are tightened correctly.
To replace the drive belt
WARNING:
without all guards and covers installed.
1. Loosen the screw (A).

This step only applies to K 970 III 400mm/
16in..
2. Loosen the 3 nuts on the cutting head (B) and turn
the belt tensioner (C) to the position "0".
3. Remove the front belt guard.
4. Remove the 2 screws on the rear belt guard.
Remove the rear belt guard.
Do not start the product
