Air filter
After every 20 hours of operation (or every 4 hours of running in very dusty conditions), the air
filter should be removed, examined for deterioration, and cleaned. Remove the air filter
housing cover then remove the air filter. Clean the air filter thoroughly using
environmentally-friendly water-based degreasing agent. When the air filter has completely
dried out apply a little ordinary engine oil to coat the whole of the filter. Squeeze out any
excess oil and replace the air filter and cover.
WARNING:
Never run the engine without the air filter fitted.
Lubricating the gearbox
It is recommended that after 8 hours of use the gearbox grease is topped up using suitable
Lithium grease. With the engine in its upright position remove the bolt on the grease filler
port and add the grease with a grease gun. Refit the grease filler port bolt ensuring it is
securely tightened.
