Starting the engine
Set the choke lever to the ON position. As
shown in the image above.
Make sure that the STOP/RUN switch is in the RUN position, as shown in the image above.
Hold down the auger firmly with one hand. With the other hand, grip the recoil starter cord
handle and pull slowly until resistance is felt indicating that the recoil starter is engaged.
When resistance is felt pull the cord firmly. Continue this procedure until the engine starts.
When the engine has been successfully started and is running smoothly return the choke
lever to the off position.
If the carburettor requires "priming", pump
the clear rubber priming button until fuel
appears in the button as shown in the
image above. For warm starts, you may
not need to prime the auger.
