Fever guidance feature
Fever guidance helps you to better understand the meaning of your child's
temperature with the color indicated on the display. The screen displays GREEN for a
normal temperature, YELLOW for a fever, and RED for a high fever. 4 beeps indicate
temperatures above 37.4 °C to alert the user that the individual may have a fever.

NOTE: Backlight remains OFF when below temperature readings are registered:
34° ≤ T ≤ 35.7 °C

Temperature taking hints

It is important to know each individual's normal temperature when they are well.
This is the only way to accurately diagnose a fever. Take multiple readings when
healthy to determine normal temperature.
A child's normal temperature can be as high as 37.7 °C or as low as 36.1 °C. Be sure to
note this unit reads 0.5 °C lower than a rectal digital measurement.
Thermometer needs to acclimate to the room temperature for 30 minutes before
taking a measurement.
The individual being measured should be indoors for 30 minutes before taking a
measurement.
Ensure that the forehead is clean and dry. If you clean the forehead, wait 10 minutes
before taking a measurement.
Make sure to move hair away from the forehead and wait 10 minutes before taking a
measurement.
Proper positioning is key
when taking a "no touch"
measurement.
Hold parallel to forehead.
Keep individual's head still.
Hold thermometer steady. DO NOT swipe.
Dirt, dust, and debris may impact reading – refer to cleaning and care in owner's
manual for cleaning instructions.
ALWAYS take the temperature exactly as directed. Temperature results may vary if
positioned in the wrong location or wrong distance from the forehead.

How to use the No Touch Thermometer
1. Turn On
Press Power button to turn device on. The device will be ready to
take a measurement when 4 dashes appear on the LCD screen and
the C symbol is displayed in the right top corner.
2. Position
Position thermometer 1-5 cm from
center of the forehead, just between the
eyebrows. If the eyebrow area is covered
with hair, sweat or dirt, please clean the
area beforehand to improve the reading
accuracy. It is important to hold the thermometer and the forehead steady during
measurement. Movement will impact the temperature reading.
3. Take temperature
Press the power button to take a temperature measurement.

4. Read temperature

One long beep for normal temperature
and 4 short beeps for fever will be heard
when the measurement is complete
(unless you have the sound muted).
The LCD backlight will illuminate green,
yellow or red.
To take another reading repeat steps
2-4.
5. To turn off
To conserve battery power, the unit will automatically shut down after 18 seconds
of no use.
