5. Thermo fuse device: This appliance is equipped with a second temperature
protection. In case the temperature control device malfunction, the thermo
fuse device will cut off the power. Unplug the appliance at once.
Cleaning
Clean the appliance before the first use, immediately after each use and after
a prolonged period of disuse.
Before cleaning the coffee maker, unplug it from the mains and let it cool.
1. Clean the main body and the connection cord with a damp cloth.
2. Clean the rest of the components with soapy water and rinse with plenty
of water under the tap. If you prefer, these can be washed in the
dishwasher.
De-scaling
To eliminate scale build up in the hot water ducts, de-scale the coffee maker
every six months approximately, depending on how often the appliance is used
and how hard the water is.
1. Fill the water tank with a 1:1 mixture of water and vinegar and switch on
the coffee maker until all the liquid has emptied.
2. Wait for four minutes, fill the water tank with cold water and run the coffee
maker again until all the water is emptied.
3. Repeat step 2.
