Configuring AFD on Egress Queues
AFD can be configured for an egress queuing policy.
Note
Approximate Fair Drop is not supported on the Cisco Nexus 9508 switch (NX-OS 7.0(3)F3(3)).
Note
AFD and WRED cannot be applied at the same time. Only one can be used in a system.
Note
The following are recommended values for queue-desired for different port speeds:

Values for queue are user configurable.

Configuring Queuing and Scheduling
Purpose
used with a WRED+ECN configuration and when the
intention is to avoid WRED drops of non-ECN-capable
traffic. This option is available beginning with Cisco NX-OS
Release 7.0(3)I4(2) and supported only for Cisco Nexus
9200 platform switches, Cisco Nexus 93108TC-EX and
93180YC-EX switches, and Cisco Nexus 9508 switches
with the Cisco Nexus 9732C-EX line card.
Beginning with Cisco NX-OS Release 7.0(3)I4(5), this
feature is supported on Cisco Nexus 9508 switches with
the Cisco Nexus 9636PQ line cards and Cisco Nexus 3164Q
switches.
