CD TEST MODE

1. Starting CD Test Mode
Insert the AC plug while pressing and holding down the CD OPEN/CLOSE button.
When the test mode is activated, the display appears “TEST”.
2. Exiting CD Test Mode
Press the POWER button or unplug the AC plug.

*1 When the focus search mode is repeated more than 10 minutes, the driver IC may generate heat, activating the protection
circuit to stop operation. In this case, turn off the power, leave the unit for a while, and then, restart.
*2 When the pickup is positioned at the innermost track or the outermost track, and the FF button and the RWD button are
pressed down, the sled motor rotates. Therefore, observe gear to avoid damage.

All lit. • All FL lit.
READING • LD continuously lit.
• Continuous focus search *1
• Spindle motor continuous kick
NORMAL • Normal playback
• Focus search continued if
TOC READ is unavailable.
• Tracking servo OFF/ON
OFF/ON repeated every time the
PAUSE button is pressed.
CD TEST • PU moves the inner track *2, and
lens is kicked to the inner track.
CD TEST • PU moves to the outer track *2,
and lens is kicked to the outer
track.
All lit. • When the button is pressed at
first, spindle motor rotates in the
FWD direction (at rough speed).
At the second press, the direction
is reversed. At the third press, the
mode stops.
