THE ADVANCED SWITCHING SYSTEM

6. GLOBAL SETUP

GLOBAL SETUP is our utilities menu. The Global Setup submenu is, as it sounds, a global parameter menu and
will be the same for all presets. Here you can edit the following settings:
SONG / BANK – Here you can select to use Numbers or Song Titles to identify your Banks of Presets. (the G3
App is required for entering Song Names)
NUMBER OF BANKS – G3 has up to 99 banks but if you don't use that many, you can limit the number of
banks you use here.
BANK EXT SWITCH - This turns on the bank external switch located on the back panel of G3 allowing you to
use any momentary switch as your bank select.
BANK PRESET - G3 gives you the option of selecting a preset footswitch to use as your Bank Select button.
You can select any of the footswitches or you can use the external bank select located on the rear panel of G3.
BLUETOOTH - Here you can turn on G3's Bluetooth, enabling it to link to your iOS device to use with your G3
app. If you turn on Bluetooth and it does not receive any information from your iOS device, it will turn off after 2
minutes to ensure no unwanted connectivity.
UPDATE in conjunction with the G3 iOS app - Update enables you to update to the latest G3 software.
HIDDEN PRESET - This is a master Hidden Preset button. If you turn this off it will disable all your hidden
presets. This feature must be turned on to use hidden presets.
STEREO PAIRS - G3 has 12 x mono loops which you can pair to use with your stereo effects giving you up to 6
stereo loops. For example, if you have 1 x stereo reverb at the end of your chain, pairing loops 12 and 11 will
give you 1 stereo loop, leaving you with 10 x mono loops. If you have 3 x stereo loops, pairing 12 & 11, 10 & 9,
and 8 & 7, will give you 3 x stereo loops and 6 x mono loops.
GLOBAL PHASE - Global Phase sets up the polarity of the phase on Output 2. This is specifically to avoid
problems when adding an in-phase pedal in STOMPBOX Mode to an out of phase signal.
BACKLIGHT - G3's back-lit, High Res, TFT, LCD screen has 4 levels of brightness to choose from.
STATUS BAR - Here you can turn the visibility of the Status Bar on the Preset screen On and Off.
This will provide a quick view of the active functions within your Preset. Inactive functions will be displayed in
grey. Active functions are displayed in white.
