Basic Operations Playing a tape Before you start... • Refer to “Index to parts and controls” for button locations. Turn on your TV and set it to the video channel. Insert a tape. Recording TV programmes using the Easy Timer The Easy Timer function allows you to ?/1 ON/STANDBY PROGRAM +/– x STOP make timer recordings of programmes without turning on your TV. Searching using the index function The VCR automatically marks the tape with an index signal at the point where each recording begins. Use these signals as references to find a specific recording. To find a specific recording by scanning (Index scan) Insert an indexed tape into the VCR. -
