Replace Malfunctioning Psu; Replace Malfunctioning Sas Module / Fan - Synology RackStation RC18015xs+ Quick Installation Manual

Note:
1. The expansion units must be connected serially with the modules on
corresponding sides for each RackStation unit.
2. Both the RackStation units must be connected to their shared expansion
units in the same order. For example, if you connect a RackStation unit to the
expansion units in the order of "A1, A2, A3 ..." as in the sample image above,
you cannot connect the other RackStation unit to the expansion units in the
order of "B1, B3, B2 ...".

Replace Malfunctioning PSU

If a PSU or its fan malfunctions, please see the instructions below to replace
the malfunctioning PSU.
1 Unplug the power cord from the PSU to be replaced.
By pressing the Beep Off button, you can silence the long beeping sound
Note:
when you hear it.
2 Push the lever of the PSU at the back panel in the indicated direction.
3 Pull out the PSU from the expansion unit.
4 Prepare a new PSU, and push it back to the slot until you hear a click.

Replace Malfunctioning SAS Module / Fan

If a SAS module or its fan malfunctions, please see the instructions below
to pull out the expansion unit SAS module and replace the module or the
malfunctioning fan.
