Replace Malfunctioning RackStation

If a RackStation malfunctions, please see the instructions below to replace the
malfunctioning RackStation.
Note:
If the malfunctioning RackStation serves as active server, and the
service has not been switched over to the other RackStation unit, please
perform the switchover on DSM > High Availability Manager.
1 Make sure the malfunctioning RackStation has been powered off. Disconnect
all cables from the malfunctioning RackStation. Put the disconnected
RackStation aside.
2 Prepare a new RackStation, and follow the instructions of Chapter 2:
Connect with Synology RC18015xs+ on page 12 so as to connect the
new RackStation to the other RackStation and expansion unit.
3 Power on the newly connected RackStation.
4 Go to DSM > High Availability Manager. On the Overview tab, the newly
connected RackStation will be shown as Unknown Server.
5 Click Manage > Recover the unknown server, and the new RackStation
will reboot and join the HA cluster, serving as passive server.
