8.4 Error correction on feed systems (optional)

8.4.1 Error correction on de-ashing system (optional)

Remove foreign objects

Causes for operational faults in feed systems are mostly blockages due to foreign
bodies (e.g. pieces of wood or stone).
Danger of crushing or being drawn in by the feed system!
The switch on time for the feed system is not predictable during automatic operation of the
system.
1. Switch off the heating system the at main switch.
2. Secure heating system against being switched on again.
3. Never reach into the feed system with your fingers.
4. Remove foreign bodies with the poker or with pliers.
Danger of burning due to hot system parts and ash!
1. Allow heating system to cool down.
2. You should touch the unit only at the handles and other identified parts.
3. Never touch the flue ducts or their mountings.
4. Use protective gloves.
5. Use the cleaning tool supplied for cleaning.
6. Never remove the ash box when system is running.
1. Remove the ash.
2. Mark the installation locations of the grate components.
3. Remove the grate components.
4. Remove foreign objects with pliers.
If foreign object is jammed:
1. With motorised de-ashing remove protective cover.
2. Turn the auger a little by turning the motor fan wheel so that the foreign body is
loosened.
3. Remove foreign objects with pliers.
4. Clean de-asher.
5. Reattach dismantled parts (protective cover, grate components etc.) in the correct
sequence.
Functional test:
If the cleaning system is working then the de-ashing must also run.
