Remove the Existing SMB-1 Firmware PROM
To remove the existing SMB-1 Firmware PROM, follow the steps detailed in the instruction sheet packaged with the
extraction tool.
Insert the Replacement SMB-1 Firmware PROM
1. Align the diagonal corner of the replacement SMB-1 Firmware PROM with the diagonal corner of the socket.
2. Gently and evenly push the SMB-1 Firmware PROM into the socket.
3. Reinsert the module in the slot in the SmartSwitch 9000 chassis from which it was taken.
