Thermal safety cut-out

A safety cut-off switch is fitted to the element, which will automatically protect the appliance
against damage caused by overheating.
Should the appliance overheat, disconnect the heater from the socket. After a short cooling
down phase, reconnect the heater to the socket and switch on the heater.
Warning: In order to avoid a hazardous operating environment as a result of inadvertently
resetting the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external
switching device (such as a timer) or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and
off by the utility.

Care and cleaning

Before undertaking any maintenance or cleaning, remove the plug or disconnect the heater
from the electricity supply, and always ensure that the appliance has cooled completely.
Do not use harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning agents on the appliance.
The main body and glass panels need only be wiped with a clean, dry soft cloth.
Never immerse the heater in water or any liquid.
Do not dispose of the heater as unsorted municipal waste – use separate collection
facilities.

Troubleshooting

No flame effect:
This may be caused by a faulty bulb. Remove and replace the bulb as described in the
manual.
No heat or light:
Check the power supply by plugging a working appliance into it. If the power supply socket
is functional, the fault may be caused by the appliance's cord or plug. Have the appliance
checked by a qualified electrician.
Light, but no heat:
Ensure the Temperature control knob is set above the current room temperature.
Alternatively, the automatic cut-off switch may have been activated. Check the Operating
instructions in this manual.
