Safety precautions

When using your heater, basic safety precautions should always be followed:

This heater must be used on an AC supply only. The voltage marked on the heater
must correspond to the supply voltage.

Do not switch the heater on until it is properly installed as described in this manual.

The heater must not be located immediately below a power outlet.

Keep furniture, curtains and other flammable material at least 1 metre away from the
heater. Do not run the cords under carpets or rugs. Always arrange the cord in such a
manner that it cannot be tripped over.

This heater is intended for household use and should not be used for industrial
purposes.

Check the cord from time to time for damage. Never use the appliance if the cord or
any part of the heater shows signs of damage.

Do not operate the heater with a damaged plug or cord, after a malfunction or after
being dropped or damaged in any way.

Repairs to electrical appliances should only be performed by a qualified technician.
Improper repairs may place you at serious risk.

Do not allow the mains cable to hang over sharp edges or to come in contact with
hot surfaces.
10 Do not cover or obstruct the heater in any way, or use it to dry clothes.
Overheating will result if it is accidentally covered.
11 Never immerse the product in water or any other liquids.
12 Do not use this heater near a bath, a shower, a swimming pool or open flames such as
candles or lighters.
13 Do not use the appliance outdoors.
14 Do not operate the heater with wet hands.
15 Never use the appliance on or near hot surfaces. Never use aerosols or steam
cleaners on or around the heater.
16 Before cleaning the heater, ensure that it is unplugged from the power source and that
it has cooled completely.
17 Do not clean the appliance with abrasive chemicals.
18 Never use accessories that are not recommended or supplied by the manufacturer.
They could cause danger to the user or damage the appliance.
19 The only user replacement parts are the bulbs; there are no other user replacement
parts. All other servicing should be referred to a qualified technician.
20 This heater is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless
they are supervised or have been given instructions concerning use of the heater by a
person responsible for their safety.
21 Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the heater.
22 This appliance has been designed for use in households and similar environments,
including (but not limited to) areas such as staff kitchens in shops and offices, hotel
and B&B rooms, farmhouses, etc. Note: This product is not intended for use in
industrial settings.
