METHODS OF BOUNDARY WIRE INSTALLATION

USING THE PEGS
Use a hammer or rubber mallet to secure the pegs to
the ground and hold the boundary wire in place.
NOTE: If the ground is hard, apply water to the lawn
before securing the pegs.

CONDITIONS OF LAYING THE BOUNDARY WIRE

The boundary wire must form a loop around the garden lawn.
The product will operate only within the bounded perimeter.
Only the original boundary wire, designed and supplied by the
manufacturer, must be used. Using a di erent boundary wire
may cause performance issues and damage to the product.
Do not coil the boundary wire.
The product must always be within 28 m of any wire in
order to function correctly.
The boundary wire must be laid a minimum of 1.5 m
away from any other powered wire of other appliances,
such as robotic lawn mowers, powered lighting, or
animal fences. RYOBI cannot guarantee compatibility
alongside other such appliances.
RYOBI cannot guarantee full compatibility in lawns
where there is electrical interference from power lines.
The boundary wire can be buried to a depth of up to 5
cm. Lay the wire, secure the wire using the pegs, and
run the perimeter test to con¿ rm the wire layout before
burying the wire.
When laying the boundary wire at a corner, the wire
must be curved with an angle greater than 90°.

WORK AREA BOUNDARIES

The boundary wire should be laid 45 cm from the obstacle
that borders the work area and is 1.5 cm or more in height.
This prevents the mower from colliding with the obstacle
and reduce body wear. The boundary wire should be laid at
least 5 cm away from the À at paving stone or À at pavement.
NOTE: The mower must never run over gravel, mulch, or
similar material that can damage the blades.
NOTE: The boundary wire should be laid at least 60 cm to
the work area adjacent to a pool, steep slopes greater than
20°, or a public road. This prevents the mower from ending
up outside the working area under any circumstance.
NOTE: Set up the boundary away from high-voltage posts
or devices. Do not set up the boundary near heat or ¿ re
sources, or explosive environment.
