1. If installed remove nylon line
head, line head plate, shield
plate, and shield with cutoff
knife .
a. Align notch in edge of
shield and hole in line
head plate with notch in
edge of gear housing
and insert head locking
tool (G).
b. Remove line head (J) by
turning it clockwise until
head is completely off of
shaft.
c. Remove locking tool (G) and line head plate.
d. Remove three screws holding shield plate and shield with cutoff
knife (H) to gear housing.
e. Retain line head, shield plate, and shield with cutoff knife for
conversion back to nylon line head operation.
2. Align holes in shield plate (I)
shield, (K) and bottom of gear
case flange. Install (3) bolts (L)
and (3) lock nuts (M).
3. Tighten all shield hardware.
