Preselecting the Impact Force
Various settings for the required impact force can be
preselected with the thumbwheel (5) for impact force
preselection.
The impact force required depends on the length of the
staples or nails and the strength of the material.
When using two staples (DuoTac function), the setting on
the thumbwheel (5) for the impact force must be set approx-
imately one level higher.
Note: Always test the selected impact force on a spare piece
of material first. The optimal impact force setting can only be
achieved through practice.
The figures in the table below are recommended values.

Practical Advice
19 mm staples cannot be used with this power tool.
u
Therefore you should not use the power tool to attach
ceiling panels with claws for fastening wooden pro-
files or joints.
Avoid pulling the trigger when the magazine is empty to min-
imise wear on the firing pin.
When work is complete, set the impact force on the thumb-
wheel for impact force preselection (5) to relieve strain on
the tension spring.

Carefully set the tacker head (1) down on the material. Soft
workpieces (e.g. pine wood) could be damaged if you press
down too hard.
The power tool is designed for short-term use and heats up
in continuous operation. Performance reduces as the tem-
perature increases. The S2 operating mode denotes short-
term operation with a maximum operation time of
10 minutes of constant use.
Switch the power tool off after this time and allow it to cool
down.
Removing Jammed Staples
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
u
work on the power tool.
– Turn the power tool around.
– Press the magazine release (6) and pull the magazine (9)
out of the back of the tool at the same time.
– Remove the jammed staple. Use a pair of pliers for this, if
required.
– Slide the magazine (9) back in until it clicks into place.
Fill the magazine in good time. A staple strip that is too
u
short may be the cause of jammed staples.
