Proper cr ib maintenance is a necessar y action on the par t of child care provider s to ensure cribs they
are using with their infants are safe and secure . The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)
recommends perfor ming cr ib safety checks on a regular basis. Fur ther more , the CPSC recommends taking a
cr ib out of ser vice if any problems are found dur ing the safety check. This checklist is provided to assist the
caregiver in inspecting and proper ly maintaining their cr ibs.
