To install additional hard disk drives

Place all S-ATA disk drives into the drive holder inside the computer's chassis.
(Limit of four drives.)

Connect one end of the S-ATA data cable(s) to the S-ATA connection, starting
with Port-0 on the motherboard. Connect the data cables of any additional
disks to Ports 1,2 and then 3.

Connect the other end of the S-ATA data cable to the corresponding S-ATA
disk drive.

Connect the S-ATA power cable to the corresponding S-ATA disk drive.
If your disk drive is equipped with two power connectors, connect the S-ATA
power cable. Refer to the documentation supplied with your disk drive for
details on proper power connections.
When all disk drives are installed, you are ready to configure the RAID array.
Which tool do I use?
There are multiple tools and methods for configuring a RAID hard disk array.
Sony recommends the use of the Intel
accessed from Sony's VAIO
Note: If your computer has only one hard disk, a VAIO
displays informing you that the Reconfigure RAID process cannot continue. A
minimum of two disks are required to configure a RAID array. Click OK, then
click
Cancel
If you already have this program installed on your computer, go to Intel
Matrix Storage Console.
If you do not have this program installed on your computer, download and
install the program before continuing.
