NOTE:
When creating the update disc it must have a folder called
DVD_2930 within which should be the update file
D293SAVD.ROM.
If the update disc is not created or structured in this way the
player will not be able to read the update disc.
Upgrade-Procedure:
1. If you have not done so already, please connect the DVD-
2930 to a monitor using either the Composite or S-Video
connections (Page 9 of the user manual) then turn on the player
and monitor.
2. Please ensure that you do not have any discs currently inside
the player and the draw is closed. Initialize the player by holding
the SKIP FORWARD (
panel for longer than 3 seconds (until INITIALIZE is no longer
displayed on the monitor screen).
3. Open the draw of the DVD player, place the update disc onto
the tray and close the draw.
4. Please wait for approximately one minute for the update to
complete itself, after which the draw should open automatically.
On the monitor it should show the word LOADING followed by a
box showing FLASH-ERASE. Followed by FLASH-WRITE then
VERIFY.
Once the update is finished the word COMPLETE will appear on
the display. The draw of the player will open automatically.
5. Remove the disc from the tray then turn off the player by using
the (On/Off) button on the front panel.
6. Initialize the player by holding the SKIP FORWARD (
