4.2 CAMERA PARAMETER DESCRIPTION

This paragraph contains a description of the most important camera parameters. For the full
parameter reference list refer to the Parameter Reference Table in the CD-ROM.
4.2.1

Operating Mode

This parameter allows defining the operating mode of the camera.
The operating mode of the camera must be selected according to the application type or the
position of the camera.
You can select one of the following operating modes:
D-Power
You can select this operating mode when the camera is connected with a DC9500.
This is the normal operating mode of a camera in a multisided reading system.
The DC9500 directly controls all the sensors, computes the data and provides the acquisition
and operating information to the connected cameras.
All the connected cameras must be configured in this operating mode, since it simplifies the
work of each camera and best allows DC9500 to coordinate system functioning.
D-Power Pass Through
In this operating mode the camera is connected to the DC9500 in a "transparent" way. Each
camera processes the data sent to it by the sensors through the DC9500. The DC9500 does
not compute the data, it simply sends it from the sensors to the camera.
