IDE Connector

The main board supports four high data transfer SATA ports with each runs up to 3.0 Gb/s. To get
better system performance, users can connect the CD-ROM to the IDE channel, and set up the
hard drives on the SATA ports.
IDE devices enclose jumpers or switches used to set an IDE device as Master or Slave. When
installing two IDE devices by one cable, ensure that one device is set as Master and the other as
Slave.

SATA Connectors

The main board features four SATA connectors to support four drives. SATA refers to Serial ATA
(Advanced Technology Attachment) is the standard interface for the IDE hard drives which are
currently used in most PCs. These connectors are well designed and will only fit in one orientation.
NOTE: This main board does NOT support the "Hot-Plug" function.

FDD: Floppy Disk Drive Connector

This connector supports the provided floppy drive ribbon cable. The FDD connector is used to
connect the FDD cable while the other end of the cable connects to the FDD drive.

Add-on Card Slots

PCIE x16 slot
The PCI Express x16 slot is fully compliant to the PCI Express Base Specification revision 1.0a.
PCIE2 slot (PCIE x1)
The PCI Express x1 slot is fully compliant to the PCI Express Base Specification revision 1.0a as
well.
