To control even more computers, up to 16 additional switches can be cascaded
from the first NS-KVMUV8 / NS-KVMUV16 User Manual. As many as 256

Tables showing the relation between the number of computers and the number
of NS-KVMUV8 / NS-KVMUV16 units needed to control them are provided
on page 52 in the Appendix.
To set up a two level installation, do the following:
1. Ground the master NS-KVMUV8 / NS-KVMUV16 and make sure that
power has been turned off to all the computers you will be connecting up.
2. Using the console cable provided, connect a keyboard, mouse, and
monitor to the NS-KVMUV8 / NS-KVMUV16 console port. Refer to the
Cable Connection Diagrams on the following page.
3. Using a KVM cable, connect any available KVM port on the master
NS-KVMUV8 / NS-KVMUV16 to the console port on the slave
NS-KVMUV8 / NS-KVMUV16.
4. Use KVM cable sets (described in the Cables section, page 3), to connect
any available KVM port on the NS-KVMUV8 / NS-KVMUV16 installation

5. Repeat the above steps for any additional units you wish to add to the
installation.
