Tracheostomy Plug and Care: To remove tracheostomy plug, grasp firmly, lifting it up and out. To replace, press it into the opening. Laerdal Recommends: Use a size 6-tracheostomy tube. Opening will accommodate other sizes, but a size 6 is usually most suitable. -

2. Work fingers under edge of plate and lift out. To insert: 1. Position plate over cavity. 2. Work edges into groove on torso cavity. Laerdal Recommends: Belly plate also contains urinary reservoir and colostomy stoma. To fill reservoir, remove colostomy stoma and fill, then reinsert stoma. -

To remove legs, reverse procedure. Colon Reservoir: Colon reservoir inserts into pelvic cavity with narrow end downward and connector pointing out. Genitalia – Both male and female genitalia have been provided for urinary catheterization and enema training procedures. Valve tubes, with a screw cap on Laerdal one end, will connect urethra and anus Recommends: to corresponding reservoirs. This cap must be connected to genitalia openings. -
