Measure the scraper bar ground clearance. If needed,
adjust by loosening the five 8 mm flange nuts and the
two 8 x 16 mm bolts. Evenly set the scraper bar to
obtain the specified clearance.

g. After adjustment, tighten the five 8 mm flange nuts and
the two 8 x 16 mm bolts.
TORQUE: 24 ~ 29 N•m
OPERATIONAL TESTS
Test every snowblower to be sure it functions properly.
1. (ETD, EWD): Check the electric starter operation.
2. Check the operation of the engine controls:
• Turn the fuel valve ON and then the engine switch to the ON position.
• Check the throttle lever and choke knob.
Refer to the shop manual if cable adjustment is necessary.
3. Start the engine outside on a flat, level surface.
4. Use a tachometer to check engine idle rpm with the throttle lever in the SLOW position.

5. Use a tachometer to check the maximum governed rpm with the
throttle lever in the FAST position and auger clutch lever disengaged.

6. Check the auger clutch lever operation with the engine running and the throttle lever in the FAST position.
Make sure the auger engages and disengages smoothly.
7. Engage the drive clutch lever and make sure the snowblower
propels forward and stops propelling when the lever is
released.
8. Check the shift lever operation.
9. Check the chute joystick operation in all directions.
10.Check the steering control levers for proper operation.
11.Make sure the engine stops when you move the engine switch
to the OFF position.
12.Make sure the work light comes on when the engine is
running.
13.Upon completion of tests, check for fuel and oil leaks. Repair
as necessary.
14.Turn the fuel valve to the OFF position. Start and run the
engine until the carburetor runs out of petrol.
