Action
1. It is possible that the customer has inadvertently
activated the microphone mute feature. Try
performing a conference at the repair depot and
check whether the microphone is actually picking
up sound.
2. If the symptom is duplicated, it is possible that the
microphone mute LED is broken. Confirm whether
this LED lights when the main power is turned ON
(since all LEDs should light at this time).
3. If the microphone mute LED does light, check to
see it the microphone hole is covered by the
rubber lining that is normally attached around it.
4. If the microphone hole is not covered, replace the
microphone.
5. If the symptom still occurs after replacing the
microphone, replace the audio board.
6. If the symptom still occurs, the machine cannot be
repaired.
Action
1. Replace the camera assembly, connect the
device to the network, and then turn the device
main power ON.
2. In the Contacts screen, check whether video can
be displayed.
3. If the symptom still occurs, the machine cannot be
repaired.
Action
1. Replace the audio board.
2. If the symptom still occurs, replace the speaker.
