C h a n g in g th e SCSI ID n u m b e r
Because it is a standard for the Amiga 3000 and 3000UX
operating systems, the 3070 Tape Drive comes configured as
SCSI d evice number 4. It is highly recommended that UNIX®
users, in particular, leave the SCSI ID set to 4 because many
UNIX operations assume it is set as such. If necessary, you can
change the SCSI ID Number by using the dip switches located
inside o f the tape drive case.
T o change the SCSI ID:
1. IM P O R T A N T : M ake su re th e p o w e r to th e tape d riv e
a n d th e A m ig a 3000 is OFF. D is c o n n e c t th e p o w e r
cables.
2. Disconnect the SCSI cable fro m the back o f the Amiga
3000
.
3 ■ Facing the rear o f the tape drive, remove the screw that
holds the bottom plate to the case (Figure 8).
