Charging via the sunlight
The radio is built with a solar panel on the top. The solar panel is
basically used to run the radio. Set the power selector to "SOLAR"
before you charge the battery with solar panel. To charge the
battery with solar panel will take a very long time, it is not
recommended to expect a good charge from this solar panel. The
solar panel is built to run the radio under a good sunlight in an
emergency situation.
Using the AA batteries
1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Insert 3 x AA size batteries on the ribbon inside. The bottom
battery provides power to the LCD and clock.
3. Close the battery compartment.
4. Set the power selector to "BATT", so the radio will run on
batteries.
NOTE : Take the battery out if you do not use the radio for while. lf
the radio sounds distortion, the batteries are low, replace them all
together. It is recommended to use alkaline batteries or
rechargeable batteries.
