AIR PURIFIER (IF EQUIPPED)

With the ignition switch ON, use the
air purifier switch on the instrument
panel to operate the air purifier sys-
tem.
To provide fresher air in the vehicle,
interior dust, unpleasant odors, and
harmful fumes are filtered through an
ionized air filtration system via an air
outlet located on the upper shelf
behind the rear seat.

Operation mode
Choose one of the following modes.
• OFF - No air blows
• AUTO - Sensors operate to control
the air flow automatically
and filtered, ionized air is
generated.
• LOW - Air flow is low and filtered,
ionized air is generated.
• HIGH - Air flow increases and fil-
tered, ionized air is gener-
ated.

The air purifier system filter must be
periodically replaced in accordance
with manufacturer recommended
replacement intervals.
(See periodic maintenance and
replacement of the air purifier filter in
Chapter 7.)
If the air purifier system has been
used for extended periods in dusty
conditions or high-pollution condi-
tions (heavy traffic), be sure to check
and replace the filter more frequently
than the recommended intervals.
NOTICE
If the air purifier system is used
when the filter is dirty, the system
will not function well.
