Mounting and connection

Pay attention to the information in the "Preparation for mounting" section.
Ensure that no existing cables or pipes (including water pipes) are
damaged when drilling mounting holes or securing screws.
• Remove the screw on top of the junction box cover
with a Phillips screwdriver and then remove the
junction box inside.
• Remove the screw terminal for the lamp connection
from the junction box.
• Place the junction box in the desired position on the
mounting surface, mark the holes for two screws
and then drill the holes. Depending on the surface,
suitable screws and/or dowels may be required.
• Guide the mains connection cable from behind
through the cable hole on the junction box. Ensure
that the cable protrudes to a length such that it will fit
into the junction box later and is not too short.
• Screw the junction box to the mounting surface
using suitable screws. Place the plastic washers
onto the screws between the surface and the outer
side of the junction box.
• Remove the outer insulation on the mains cable to a
maximum length of about 16 mm. Strip the insulation
on each of the three wires on the mains cable to a
length of about 6 mm. The earth cable (yellow-green
cable) should be at least 6 mm longer so that it
remains the last cable in the screw terminal in the
event of a fault.
• Connect the individual wires on the mains cable to
C
the correct terminal in the screw terminal, paying
B
attention to the colour coding (brown = A/phase,
blue = C/neutral, yellow-green = B/protective earth/
A
earth symbol ).
• Place the screw terminal into its slot in the junction
box.
• Use the junction box to stow the cables safely and
prevent damage to the insulation.
• Tighten the screw on top of the junction box cover
using a Phillips screwdriver to secure the lamp in
place. Position the lamp as shown.
It is recommended to install a switch to turn the lamp on/off. If you wish
to connect a plug (not included) to the mains cable you must ensure that
there is an extension cable or a mains socket available near to where the
lamp is mounted. These components are not included with the product.

Maintenance and cleaning

Never use aggressive and abrasive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other
chemical solutions, as these could damage the housing or even impair
the functioning of the product.
• Never point a garden hose or a pressure washer at the lamp!
• You do not need to carry out maintenance work on the product. Leave maintenance
or repair work to an expert. The LED light bulbs are firmly embedded and cannot be
replaced.
• Turn off the mains voltage for the lamp before cleaning; let the lamp cool down
sufficiently.
• You can use a clean, soft and dry cloth to clean the product. Dust can be easily
removed using a clean and soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the
relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
