Grounding the Probe PHT312-RO Connect the probe to the oscilloscope input and connect the ground lead to earth ground before performing any measurements. Note that all accessible metal parts are connected to the BNC instrument connector (GND), except for the probe tip and the BNC centre-conductor. The PHT312-RO is designed for ground-referenced measurements only.
