6. Inspect unit and verify if battery heater has already
been installed. If battery heater is not installed, pro-
ceed to next step. If battery heater has been
installed, proceed as follows:
a. Locate unused connector from previously
installed Y-harness.
b. Route unused connector through harness
grommet (D), and under engine to oil filter
heater.
c. Plug unused connector of Y-harness into oil fil-
ter heater connector.
d. Proceed to

7. Plug connector into one of the Y-harness sockets
(C).
8. Pass lead wires and empty Y-harness socket (E)
beneath engine and through harness grommet (D)
in the engine divider panel. If empty Y-harness
socket will not be connected to a battery heater,
coil wires and secure with a plastic wire tie. Secure
all wires with plastic wire ties at least 0.5 in (1 cm)
away from fuel hoses.

connection panel grommet (A).
