provided with your barbecue.

griddle, as it may break.

your gas grill.
Prior to first use: Wash thoroughly with a mild dishwashing
liquid to remove the protective wax coating.
First time use: Rinse with warm water and dry completely with
a soft cloth or paper towel.

how to use: Look for the edge of the griddle that has two flat
metal tabs, called spacers (see ill. a).
Lay the griddle directly on the cooking grate with spacers facing
the lid hinges (The spacers enable proper lid closing).
Q1xx WIth a lid thermometer: Maximum operating
temperature of 550°F (288°C). the griddle plate can be
placed upon the front or back of the cooking grate.
Q1xx WIthoUt lid thermometer: Can be operated only at
loW (minimum) temperature. the griddle plate can be placed
upon the front or back of the cooking grate.
how to remove: Turn off grill burner(s) before attempting to
remove a hot griddle.
A hole and notch on either side of the griddle is designed for the
insertion of the steel lift-handles (see ill. b). To insert the handles,
place the hook of the handle under and then thru the hole
(see ill. c).

Carefully lift the cold griddle off the cooking grate taking care
not to spill meat juices or sauces (see ill. d).

tips: Since cast-iron holds heat well, you will not need to use
extremely high cooking temperatures. Best results are obtained
with medium to medium-high heat. Do not overheat.
Maintenance: Brush debris off with a steel bristled wire brush.

accordance with the printed instructions accompanying it.
Weber may require reasonable proof of your date of
purchase. THEREFORE, YOU SHOULD RETAIN YOUR
SALES RECEIPT OR INVOICE AND RETURN THE
WEBER LIMITED WARRANTY REGISTRATION CARD
IMMEDIATELY.
This Limited Warranty shall be limited to the repair or
replacement of parts that prove defective under normal
use and service and which on examination shall indicate,
to Weber's satisfaction, that they are defective. If Weber
confirms the defect and approves the claim, Weber will elect
to repair or replace such parts without charge. If you are
required to return defective parts, transportation charges
must be prepaid. Weber will return parts to the purchaser,
freight or postage prepaid.
This Limited Warranty does not cover any failures or
operating difficulties due to accident, abuse, misuse,
alteration, misapplication, vandalism, improper installation
or improper maintenance or service, or failure to perform
normal and routine maintenance. Deterioration or damage

due to severe weather conditions such as hail, hurricanes,
earthquakes or tornadoes, discolouration due to exposure to
chemicals either directly or in the atmosphere, is not covered
by this Limited Warranty. Weber shall not be liable under
this or any implied warranty for incidental or consequential
damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and
you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
