process. The router will restart automatically when the firmware update is
complete.
The router switches into a special mode during firmware uploads; the ADSL
module is disabled in this mode, for example. Configuration functions and
Internet access are also disabled during this process. The router will remain
in this mode—even if the power is switched off—until the new firmware has
been successfully loaded or the update process canceled.
When the firmware update is complete, it is necessary to reset the router to
its factory defaults by pressing the button on the rear panel of the device.
When the router restarts, the 'Connect' LED will be lit for around 1 minute. Do
not interrupt this process! Switching the MicroLink dLAN ADSL Modem
Router off during this time can irreparably damage the router's firmware.
