Back up the configuration information to diskette:

Access the SAN Appliance Menu from an attached keyboard/video/mouse.

From the PowerVault 530F main menu, select Tools—> Backup Configuration,

and follow the prompts on the screen to create a configuration backup diskette.
Repeat steps a and b to create a second backup diskette, in case a problem occurs
c
with the first diskette.
Repeat steps 1 through 7 to back up the configuration information for each

PowerVault 530F node.
Ensure that all data for all LUNs has been properly backed up.

Terminate all input/output (I/O) activity involving all PowerVault 530F nodes.

If the host systems are not Microsoft
host system. If the host systems are MSCS nodes, disable the Cluster Disk Resource in
Device Manager and set the Cluster Service option to Disabled in the Services applet.
For systems running Microsoft Windows
View—> Show hidden devices. Double-click Non-Plug and Play Drivers. Right-
click Cluster Disk Driver and click Disabled.
For systems running Microsoft Windows NT
Settings, and then click Control Panel. Double-click the Devices icon and select
the Cluster Disk entry, and then change the Startup setting to Disabled.
Shut down and turn off all host nodes.

If your PowerVault 530F systems use software version 1.22 or 1.24, perform the following
steps:
Before proceeding, ensure that you have backed up the configuration information for

each PowerVault 530F onto diskettes, as discussed in step 5 of "Backing Up the
Configuration Information."
