Cleaning the Cooling
System
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the blade-control switch (PTO), and engage the
parking brake.
2.
Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3.
Remove the air filter canister from the engine,
but do not disconnect the hose.

Loosen the bolts and remove the fan housing
(Figure
41).

Clean debris and grass from the parts.
6.
Install the fan housing. Torque the bolts to 8.8
N·m (78 in-lb).
7.
Install the air filter canister.

Fuel System
Maintenance
DANGER
In certain conditions, fuel is extremely
flammable and highly explosive. A fire or
explosion from fuel can burn you and others
and can damage property.
Refer to
Fuel Safety (page 13)
list of fuel related precautions.
Replacing the In-Line Fuel
Filter
Service Interval: Every 100 hours or yearly,
whichever comes first—Check the
in-line fuel filter.
Every 200 hours or 2 years, whichever comes
first—Replace the in-line fuel filter.
Never install a dirty filter after removing it from the
fuel line.
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the blade-control switch (PTO), and engage the
parking brake.
2.
Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3.
Replace the filter
Note:
Ensure that the markings on the filter
follow the fuel flow direction.
